Medicine Wall Spring Trail Day

We’re heading down to San Antonio to show some community love at Med Wall!

Unlike many climbing areas in Texas, Med Wall is owned and stewarded by the Texas Climbers Coalition, making it a special place for our community. Like Monster Rock, it represents what’s possible when climbers come together to protect and care for the places we climb.

Join the Texas Climbers Coalition on Saturday, March 14 starting at 9 AM for a morning of stewardship and trail work. We’ll spend 2–3 hours focusing on brush removal, trail maintenance, and general clean-up to help keep Med Wall in great shape for climbers and visitors.

After the work is done, we’ll plan to share lunch and get some climbing in.

TCC will provide refreshments, snacks, and some of the necessary equipment. No prior trail work experience required — just bring a good attitude and a willingness to help.

Winter Trail Day- Reimer's Ranch

This trail day is in partnership with Mesa Rim, one of our awesome Limestoner sponsors and a huge supporter of climbing access and stewardship in Central Texas.

Come for the whole day or just a few hours — every bit helps

TCC will provide refreshments, snacks, and all necessary equipment

It’ll be a full day outside giving back to one of our favorite places. No trail experience required — just a willingness to pitch in and have a good time.

Friendsgiving Trail Day at Monster Rock

Monster Rock needs some community love! This is one of our properties that is open to the public for sport climbing and bouldering west of Austin, we are asking the climbing community to assist some much needed clean up! We are also seeing if anyone wants to contribute to the holiday celebration with a dish of their choice. Come Join The TCC on Saturday Nov 15st from 9am to 2pm and later if ya wanna climb after! You may get knocked down. You may get challenged. But we know for sure, you’ll Come and Send It.

If you’re expecting to sign up for an average ol’ climbing comp, think again. We’re talking top notch boulders, flying tacos, beer pouring, stoke that is out-of-this-world, and SO. MUCH. MORE.  So do yourself a favor, grab your climbing shoes, fill up the lucky chalk bucket, and get ready for Come and Send It Vol 7.

Sign up for your session and then join us later for a beer, awards and to watch the pros battle it out in the finals! We’ve had seven years of Come and Send Its, but you better believe we’re just getting started. 

Please no dogs on competition day.

Spectators are free to come and watch.

Monster Rock Trail Day

Even the monsters need some love. Come out to help rehab MONSTER ROCK! The TCC has already done some great working on this lil crag, but we've got quite a few more things on our tick list. 

Somethings that might be on the agenda is reinforcing the existing fences, cleaning up brush and overgrowth, helping some erosion spots, and adding some signage.

Monster Rock has minimal parking so carpool if you can! The entrance is EASY TO PASS so have your passengers keep a lookout as you get close to arriving. Check out the picture of the entrance below. 

After we're done, it'd be great to stay and climb with y'all. Monster Rock is such a cool spot.

We’re doing some renovations and belated Spring cleaning out at Medicine Wall and we need your help!

Sign up to volunteer on Sunday, July 17th from 10am-2pm. We’ll need a group of volunteers to build stone steps at the main entrance of the wall, and another group to help with route and trail cleaning.

Ice Age Indoor Bouldering Competition

Test your mettle against climbers all over Texas in our first indoor Texas-wide climbing competition. Climb as many indoor boulder problems as you can within a 4-week span and compete against your fellow Texans across 13 gyms for fame, glory, and sick prizes (you may even win a YETI V Series Hard Cooler!) Download KAYA and sign up for the Ice Age Comp - all proceeds directly support the Texas Climbers Coalition to help maintain and protect our local crags. This 4-week competition kicks off August 16.

Trail Work Day with Access Fund Conservation Team

The Access Fund Conservation Team will be in town at the end of the month. We will use their expertise to do some trail work at North Shore at Reimers Ranch Park.
This day is also a great day for anyone looking to learn the basics of trail building from this team, so we can continue to maintain our trails in the future.
